Caviar Conspiracies and Prehistoric Creatures
International smuggling rings, the Ozarks, and counterfeit caviar have kept me seriously busy lately.
Welcome back to The Link, a bi-weekly newsletter making the connection between “regenerative farming,” and you—every other Sunday.
I’m popping in quickly to say hey, I know it’s been a minute, and I’m sorry for the literal radio silence on my end over the last month. I’m guessing you’ve been keeping busy by ripping up your bermuda grass, leaning into composting, or accepting that time isn’t linear since we last connected, in which case, I’m beyond proud of you.
Curiosity drives most of what I do in life, and my quick update here is no different.
I’ve been hard at work hosting and writing a true crime podcast series called The Paddlefish Caviar Heist—a crazy mystery I’ve been investigating about what happened after a suspected international caviar poaching ring infiltrated a tiny community in the middle of the Ozarks to steal it’s prized fish. An 8-part series from Imperative Entertainment and Vespucci, this is a strange, wild ride I hope you’ll consider getting into with me.
According to The Guardian, it’s “a little bit of Parks and Recreation meets The Wire.” If you like international criminal conspiracies, fishing, FOIA requests, the Ozarks, and a heavy dose of caviar, stream wherever you get your podcasts.
Episode Two airs tomorrow. But this is a newsletter about regenerative farming and you, so we’ll get back to our regularly scheduled content in November. Until then, catch you on the airwaves.
